Trips

We love exploring the world, both above and below the surface, and every Winter and Spring Break, we organize exciting dive trips to incredible destinations like Cozumel, Puerto Rico, and beyond. We also explore unique diving spots across the U.S., such as cavern diving in Missouri or shipwreck diving in the Great Lakes or exploring the Florida Keys. These trips are the perfect way to experience new dive sites, make lasting memories with fellow club members, and even complete your Open Water certification dives in an unforgettable setting.

Pumpkin Carving Dive

Join us each year in late October for one of our most unique and fun events—the underwater pumpkin carving dive! We bundle up and take a plunge into Lake Mendota to carve pumpkins underwater which is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween while enjoying the thrill of diving in chilly waters. Bring your best carving ideas and get ready to suit up for an unforgettable dive!

Holiday Tree Decorating

As winter break approaches, we often come together for a festive and stress-relieving tradition—decorating a holiday tree underwater! We dive into a (heated) pool to add our own creative touch to the tree, making it a perfect way to unwind after finals or just a fun excuse to dive and celebrate the season with fellow club members.

Educational Seminars and Events

We host a variety of educational events aimed at expanding your diving knowledge by providing insights into a variety of topics related to scuba diving, marine conservation, safety practices, and the underwater world. These are led by expert instructors, dive professionals, and guest speakers, allowing opportunities to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with other passionate divers.

Scuba Diver Meets Fish

Fish feeding

Devil's Lake is known for its curious and friendly fish, often swimming right up to divers in hopes of a treat! During this event, you’ll get a chance to interact with these eager fish by turning over rocks on the lake bottom, and they’ll swoop in to grab the exposed bugs. For an extra thrill, larger fish may even snatch up any crayfish you manage to catch!

Scuba Painting

Painting Sessions

Occasionally, we team up with Wheelhouse Studios at Union South to host a fun and creative painting extravaganza. Whether you're a pro artist or a beginner, come show off your skills or try your hand at creating your best underwater scene. It's a great way to unwind, express your creativity, and connect with fellow club members!
